Dot-Dot Armchair – Upcycled Mid-Century
A timeless mid-century armchair, revived by TIKTIK Studio.
This armchair dates back to the 1960s and ’70s, when furniture production was shaped by Soviet-influenced industrial design and mass production in Eastern Europe. Despite the system’s limitations, the era gave rise to timeless, functionalist forms—simple, durable, and quietly elegant pieces that remain relevant today.
We’ve carefully restored this piece: the old lacquer was soda-blasted off, the solid wood treated with natural oils, and the upholstery replaced with hand-tufted 100% wool textile playfully speckled with neon and rust-colored dots. We kept the original inner springs for their character, but replaced the padding to meet today’s comfort standards.
Each piece is unique, made with care and intention.
Materials:
Beech frame finished with natural oils
100% wool upholstery
Dimensions:
width = 66cm
length = 70cm
